Kingston Tennis Club

The Kingston Tennis Club building was established in 1927 and then it was completely renovated to improve both its function and aesthetic appearance. For the renovation, Neiva Engineering provided all of the mechanical design, which included new washrooms and change rooms complete with a new sanitary sump pit. Once the project was finished, we couldn't wait to get on the court!

Strata Hotel Lobby

The lobby of the Strata Hotel, located in Kingston, was completely gutted and renovated to provide a new upscale experience for their guests. The newly renovated space included new offices, storage area, staff kitchenette, staff change rooms, boardrooms, and a lavish lobby area. The mechanical design is comprised of a relocated rooftop unit working in conjunction with a new magicpak all-in-one HVAC system. Not only was the heating, cooling, and ventilation improved, but new high end plumbing fixtures were also added while meeting all code standards. Now it's time to kick back and relax!

Springer Group Residential Suites

A six story office building was completely renovated and altered into a residential building equipped with 38 suites, ground floor commercial space, and a gym in the basement for the tenants. The mechanical design utilizes electric furnaces that are equipped with condensers in order to reduce the carbon footprint. Additionally, a centralized make-up air unit with highly efficient natural gas boilers provides ample amount of fresh air as outlined in ASHRAE. Each suite is equipped with washrooms and kitchens that have modern plumbing fixtures.

Annandale Condominium Plumbing

A condominium built in the late 1920s had existing plumbing lines serving the washrooms and kitchens of each residential suite, which had past their service life. New domestic water and sanitary lines were designed in order to provide proper service to each tenant.

St. Lawrence College Integrated Test Centre

Two classrooms on St. Lawrence College's Kingston main campus were renovated to accommodate a new integrated test centre. The mechanical design included a new barrier free washroom and new duct silencers that were implemented to remove all sound from each test room. Never been in a more sound proof space.

Sacred Heart Catholic School Renovation

An elementary school in the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board was completely renovated to improve the function of the building, as well as provide improved comfort to its students and staff. This renovation included the existing classrooms, washrooms, and the gymnasium. The HVAC design included new high efficient natural gas boilers tied into the existing hydronic heating system, vertical packaged ventilators, and rooftop units. The plumbing design included new plumbing fixtures and hydronic pumps.

KMI X-Ray & Ultrasound

A newly constructed 11,000 sq. ft. building was constructed to house the new KMI X-Ray and Ultrasound facility. The building is comprised of a waiting room, exam rooms, offices, conference room, and an x-ray room. Neiva Engineering provided the entire mechanical design including an HVAC system to meet the code requirements of CSA Z317 (Special Requirements for HVAC systems in Health Care Facilities). This design included special rooftop units that were equipped with ERVs to provide large amounts of ventilation.

East Credit Veterinary

A new 2,150 sq. ft. tenant fit-up was renovated to accommodate a veterinary clinic located in Mississauga, ON. (Yes, Neiva Engineering provides services that far away!) This facility is comprised of a waiting room, washrooms, exam room, surgery room, and dental room. Neiva Engineering provided the entire mechanical design for this project, which included air distribution from existing rooftop units and owner specified plumbing fixtures. Nothing warms our heart more than to see a happy pet!
